November Is American Diabetes Month

by EMP Editor on November 14, 2012

The month of November is officially recognized as American Diabetes Month.  This year’s theme is: “A Day in the Life of Diabetes”.

In an effort to raise awareness during diabetes month the American Diabetes Association is encouraging Americans to share their “A Day in the Life of Diabetes” by uploading a personal image on their Facebook page.  For every photo/image uploaded, CVS/pharmacy will donate $1.00 to the American Diabetes Association, up to $25,000.

When nearly 26 million children and adults in the United States have diabetes and another 79 million have prediabetes and are at risk for developing type 2 diabetes chances are diabetes affects you in one way or another.  Take a moment to share your story and upload your photo on Facebook.
